It’s definitely a piece of its own with a subtle and calming design that is not “overly childish/ cartoonish” and fits right into our home’s interior which is a plus point 🫢
My little one enjoys tummy time on it and her big brother will lie next to her filled with encouragement and they enjoy lying down on the mat for story time. Sometimes, I even got too lazy to walk to the bedroom and just resort to breastfeeding my little one on it 😅.
The mat itself is soft and super easy to clean plus it doesn’t give the sticky icky feeling after cleaning it with a cloth.

We couldn’t be happier with our purchase of the Da tikar. We’ve had several other brands from last purchases in our household but none compares to the superior quality, and aesthetics that the Budak has to offer! It makes mommy, daddy, and our kiddos very happy. Definitely a win win win for all that’s worth the investment!
When we first saw this mat on IG, we immediately fell in love with it! The design is absolutely beautiful as it allows the little child’s imagination and mind to run wild bringing great fun and exploration.
Additionally, the tikar is also very versatile and comfy. Not only it’s used by the little children but the whole family uses the mat to just lie down and relax. It’s very easy to clean, soft, and cooling especially in our Malaysian weather. This product is amazing and will definitely continue to support the local brand! ❤️
When I first saw this playmat from Suyenpang’s Ig, I fell I love with it and immediately went to search for it. At that time shipping fees was also very reasonable to Sabah and I really appreciate that. Though the playmat I would say was abit above my budget, I think seeing how my little girl enjoys pitter-patter on the playmat, tumbling and rolling comfortably on the playmat, somehow it’s all worth it. It was also especially useful during her first few steps when she kept on falling backwards, I felt at ease knowing that my girl’s head was safe as it is shock absorbent.
From tummy time, to crawling and now walking so fast, this playmat has been with my girl!
At times, I even have my own me time, just chilling or folding clothes on the playmat, Cz it’s so comfortable! It’s easy to clean, it’s cooling, it’s soft and it’s so pretty! Somehow it elevated the whole space and made my living room looking so aesthetically pleasing! I really want to buy a second one, but I don’t know where else to put. That’s how good it is! If you really want something of high quality, safe and beautiful. This is it! 5 stars from me, totally unbiased. Using it since June, been loving it everyday! ❤️👍🏻
This is an amazing product made by a Malaysian mom who wants the best for her children - so proud of her!
Firstly, my son loves his playmat. I can foresee endless hours of fun for him. The playmat is also just the right size (slightly smaller than a queen sized mattress). The thickness and firmness of the playmat gives me confidence that my son will be protected.
There was a strong chemical smell for the first 4-5 days. That's the only thing that could be improved. The smell was quite jarring when we walked into my son's nursery and we weren't sure if it was safe.

PVC playmat, EVA foam playmat, TPU playmat, cotton playmat or none at all?
As a mum of two, I never thought I needed a playmat. With us constantly on the go and barely home, nursery furniture was never my top priority. The only huge baby items we had were a carseat and a stroller, not even a cot. It was not until my eldest turned 2 and I was expecting my second child when we decided to get a small playmat just so we could place the play gym on it instead of on the mattress to free up some space. Who would have known that this task was way harder than we expected it to be, given that Malaysia has so many baby vendors. We were wrong.

Before we set out to search for a playmat, all we wanted was to find one that would protect our children, whether in terms of cushioning falls or bumps or from toxic gases.
Next, we were looking for one that was comfortable and simple. If our children were going to be on it for a long time, it has to be comfortable enough for them to stay on it, and simple enough to allow them to focus on objects placed in front of them and not overstimulate them.
Lastly, easy clean, because spills, pukes, diaper leaks and potty training accidents are going to be inevitable. Environmentally friendly and stylish were plus points.
After months or search, we found none that fully suited those basic criteria.
Almost every playmat found in Malaysia were made out of either PVC or EVA foam, and they were extremely colourful and fancy. Determined to still have the one playmat that fit all the criteria, we gave up searching and started researching and manufacturing our own.

Malaysia takes pride in our tropical rainforests that is home to many exotic creatures and plants. The diversity and abundance of greenery is exactly what we wish to feature on our mat. The sage green colour, filled with images of leaves one can find so readily in the rainforests, paired with an alternate design featuring the honeycomb representing the diverse species of stingless bees found in the pristine rainforests of Malaysia. This combination of both a seemingly random arrangement and a more uniform geometric pattern in one mat represents the diversity one can find in our Malaysian rainforest.
